Terms of Service
Last updated: June 3, 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using CareFinder you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The Service
CareFinder is an online marketplace that helps clients find independent caregivers (nurses, CNAs, home health aides). We are not a care provider, employer, or staffing agency, and we do not control the care delivered.
3. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for safeguarding your credentials.
4. Caregivers
Caregivers must hold and maintain any licenses and certifications they claim, consent to background checks, and accurately represent their qualifications. We may suspend or remove caregivers who misrepresent themselves or violate these Terms.
5. Bookings & Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Service fees and payout schedules are described in your account. You authorize CareFinder to charge your saved payment method for confirmed bookings.
6. Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellation windows, no-show charges, and refund eligibility are shown at booking time and may vary by service and caregiver.
7. Acceptable Use
Do not use CareFinder to harass, defraud, discriminate, transact outside the platform to avoid fees, or violate any law. Do not attempt to access another user's account, scrape data, or interfere with the service.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee the suitability, safety, or outcome of care arranged via CareFinder. Clients are responsible for evaluating caregivers and supervising care as appropriate.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CareFinder is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify CareFinder against claims arising from your use of the service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a safety or legal risk.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless your local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
